Day 10: Quirpon to Deer Lake

We bid a fond farewell this morning to our innkeepers Wayne and Sheryl, and hit the road again.

We had to backtrack our way down the Northern Peninsula, as there is only one road. We ran into a small family of caribou, who were totally unimpressed with us:

Not long after we saw a moose by the side of the road, but we couldn’t stop for a picture because there was someone behind us.

A few of the bays had some decent sized icebergs, so of course we stopped to gawk.

We’ve had fun deciding what the shapes look like – they’re all so different!

We hit some beautiful scenery along the way:

It was a pretty easy drive, and we made it to Deer Lake and our inn fairly early. Which gave us a couple of hours to hang out on the deck looking at this lovely view:

Newfoundland doesn’t suck.
