It was another cold and rainy day today. We were sad to leave Glenora behind, we really enjoyed our time there. Maybe we’ll get back one day.
We ended up driving through the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, along the Atlantic. It looked a bit better on the map than it turned out to be, but it definitely was pretty – the entire coastline is dotted with all sorts of islands, big and small. Unfortunately we didn’t really get too many pictures between the weather and the fact that all the scenery was on the other side of the car, but I managed a couple of okay shots:
We did take Short Cut Road to Ecum Secum. I swear I’m not making that up.
We stopped for a picnic in the car along McPhee Falls in Sheet Harbor. The falls were really pretty:
We stopped for some coffee and yummy pastry in Halifax, which looks interesting. And then it was on to Wolfville, which is along the southern side of the Bay of Fundy. It’s all farm, wineries and orchards around here, very pretty country. The weather should be much better tomorrow so we can get a better look. And we’re definitely checking out that tide!
