Ottawa is a really nice city, we both wished we’d had more time there – we will definitely go back for a long weekend. After breakfast we took a fun walk around a farmer’s market. On the way out of the city, I did get a great photo of the Parliament building:
About a hour south of Ottawa, we took a detour and drove along Thousand Islands Parkway. I’d never been in the area before, and we were both surprised at how pretty it was. We did have to stop and take a picture of one of the most different houses we’d ever seen:
People seem to built on just about every island – I can’t quite figure out what they stood on while they were building this house.
After crossing back into the US, we had a lovely picnic on Wellesley Island:
And then home. ☺
