Day 4: Pompano Beach

We got lucky with the weather, and spent the morning at Morikami Gardens. This is a truly lovely, serene museum and Japanese gardens a little north of where we’re staying. Jon and I really enjoying walking around, and we got to see plenty of local wildlife too:

They even had a banana palm!

Of course Jon spent most of our walk freaked out about possible alligator sightings again:

How exactly do you ‘entice’ an alligator? And seriously, how dumb do you have to be to even think about messing with anything that has that many teeth?

After a surprisingly good lunch, we headed back to my mom’s, and hung out for a bit.

Dinner was at a local seafood place, which was really good. I definitely ate too much. Tomorrow we’re off back up north, to Cocoa Beach and the Kennedy Space Center. I know Jon can’t wait for this….
