Hi all,
As most of you know, Jon and I took an epic road trip last year across the US and Canada. We got a lot of comments at the time, like ‘are you really sure you want to be locked in a car with your husband/wife for two solid weeks?’. But we proved all you nay-sayers wrong and had a fabulous time. So fabulous, in fact, we’re doing it again, starting Friday morning.
This year we are touring eastern Canada, starting in Quebec City, around the Gaspe peninsula, to Cape Breton and Nova Scotia. And once again, we’ve decided to blog the trip, and we are inviting all of you to come along on our adventures. Sadly, I don’t think I’m going to see my butter cow this time either, but I’ve got very high hopes for that moose sighting.
Some words about this blogging thing – we found that we really enjoyed writing the posts, and thinking about how to describe our adventures for all our friends and family. And it definitely did accomplish our intended purpose of creating a record of the trip, and our thoughts and feelings at the time. We’ll try to be at least as entertaining this time around, although I can’t promise a 32 foot tall moose statue or a town named Vulcan.
We’ve decided to move the blog to a new hosting platform that’s a bit easier to manage, and it can now be found at https://www.heldhouse.com. I’ve copied over all the old content (except comments – couldn’t quite work out how to do it), and we’ll be adding new posts as we go.
Again, we hope you enjoy reading about our travels. We’d love it if you leave us comments!
Love,
Jon and Tracy
